Why
Choose Us

Pembroke and District Amateur Swimming Club has been developing swimmers since 1974. We provide a safe, supportive and structured environment where swimmers of all abilities can grow, improve and achieve their personal best. As an affiliated Swim Wales club, our members benefit from recognised coaching standards, clear progression routes and opportunities to compete at club, county and national level. Above all, we pride ourselves on teamwork, sportsmanship and a genuine love for the sport.
Trained Staff
Our swimmers are coached by experienced, qualified and dedicated staff who are committed to swimmer development at every stage. All coaches follow Swim Wales guidelines and focus on correct technique, fitness, confidence and long-term progression. Whether a swimmer is new to competitive swimming or aiming for national qualification, our coaching team provides expert guidance in a positive and encouraging environment.
Easy Growth
Our structured squad system allows swimmers to progress naturally as their skills, confidence and commitment develop. Entry into the club is through the Pembrokeshire Leisure Learn to Swim Programme, with clear pathways from Water Dragons through to County and Masters squads. Progression is based on performance, attendance, attitude and coaching assessment, ensuring every swimmer develops at the right pace.
Full Reporting
We believe in transparency and clear communication. Swimmers and parents have access to competition results, personal best tracking, squad rankings and regular updates through our website and club communications. All graded meet results are recorded through official British Swimming systems, ensuring accurate performance tracking and fair assessment for squad progression.
